Myofascial therapy is the manipulation of Fascia, it involves releasing and unwinding the fascia (connective tissue) that surrounds each muscle and interconnects all of the other internal parts of the body.
Fascia connects every muscle, ligament, tendon, bone and organ in our bodies, it can store memories of physical trauma or injury. Myofascial therapy releases these restrictions allows us to relieve recurring physical pain.
The application of different successful tools assists with posture, structural realignment, increase range of motion and re-educate neuromuscular system.
In a Myofascial therapy session the client is observed and is asked key questions and to perform targeted moves to help identify the best strategy to apply myofascial therapy on specific muscles or muscles group and maximize results.
In this session Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation stretching is applied providing the possibility for the central nervous system to program a new state of mobility to the body.
Implementation of Cross Fiber (realigns muscle fibers) and Longitudinal release (lengthens muscle fibers) techniques with immediate improvement of the muscles condition and performance.
